Liturgical Season: Lent

~ All Services are at St. James’ Church unless stated otherwise ~

Holy Week

Palm Sunday, March 25: Liturgy of the Palms at both services with the Passion Gospel at the 10 a.m. service. No Sunday School: children will attend church.
Maundy Thursday, March 29: observes Jesus’ arrest and the Last Supper. 7 p.m.
The Watch begins after this service and continues until noon on Good Friday.
Good Friday, March 30: The Community Walk of the Cross begins at 10:30 a.m. at Regina Coeli and processes through town.
Good Friday Liturgy with Veneration of the Cross at 7 p.m. at St. James’ Church.
Easter Vigil, March 31: This is the first Easter service of the year and is the most beautiful and mysterious. 8 p.m.
Easter Day, April 1: Both services at usual times. We will be doing the Renewal of Baptismal Vows. At the 10 a.m. service there will be the Flowering of the Cross. No Sunday School: children will attend church. After the service there will be an old-fashioned Easter Egg Hunt for children 10 and under.

Sunday Worship

8:00 a.m. — Rite I Traditional Worship with Holy Eucharist. Quiet service.
10:00 a.m. — Rite II Contemporary Worship with Holy Eucharist. Music and Sunday School
(Sunday School students start in the Church). A Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall follows this service.

Morning Prayer

Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.

The St. James’ Choir is open to all, whether you can sing every week or only occasionally. Weekly rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7pm in the Choir Room. Review of the weekly anthem is at 9:40am Sunday mornings. To be added to the choir contact list so you are kept up-to-date with any schedule changes, call Barbara at 845-889-4041.
